For the past couple years when I think about Mother’s Day  and what I should post I always come to the same conclusion…I don’t want to post a craft to make with the kids because then I have to (get the opportunity to) make it with them. But then they give it right back to me and I am required to act surprised. Not that I am not big surprises, but it just feels strange and not genuine to me.

This year I have created a printable that even mom’s can print for their kids and still be at least partially surprised. There are 4 questions the kids answer either by writing words or by drawing a picture. Each child will have a different answer because the questions are asking them to share their own thoughts and opinions.

Most Dad’s I know need a little nudging or a big shove. So, print one of these for each of your kids. Let one of them know where you are placing them and tell them that Dad needs to help them fill it out (if they need help). They will bug Dad to do it and your job will be done.

Make sure they sign and date it so you can keep it for years to come. I always love receiving these personal insights from my girls. It always makes me want to become a better mom.
