My kids are growing up so fast! I am getting closer to having a teenager in my home. That scares me a bit because teenagers know everything. I have little time to teach her a few more things while she willingly listens. One of those things I’m trying to instill in all my kids is how to clean their skin, especially their faces.

How to Wash Your Face
- Do not use bar soap. Instead use a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser that does not contain alcohol.
- Using your fingertips only, get your face wet with lukewarm water. Using anything more then your fingers can irritate your skin.
- Rinse your face with lukewarm water using.
- Pat dry your face with a soft towel.
We all know acne seems inevitable with everyone. Learning how to wash your face can help. There are topic and systemic options if needed. Another option is light therapy. Basically, you can go to your doctor’s office where they can use a machine, such as a Theralight machine, which emits blue light to your skin. The light and heat counteracts the acne causing bacteria. For more specific information check out this post from Theralight.
There are different colors of light which when applied are great for different things. Yellow is great for toning and strengthening your facial muscles, green is good for restoring skin discolorations, while the red light is good for anti-aging.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, Theralight is offering two great prizes:
$100 Sephora Gift Card
$100 Visa Gift Card
Good luck!
